Dotsub proiect

Good morning to all the followers of music!

Do you like to listen to music? If the answer is yes, welcome to this article! At this time, we have done a very interesting and useful work. The aim of this project was to subtitle a song in different languages, for that, we had chosen a video music in English and translate it into different languages. Firstly, we had made a account on a program Dotsub, which is a very simple application and we studied how to use it.

In our case, my partner Karla and me we have translated into five languages, which are, English, Basque, Spanish, French and Italian! The song that we decided was called "I can't remember to forget you", a very amazing and at the same time romantic song. You probably know this song because its singers are famous all around the world. It is recorded by Colombian singer-songwriter Shakira, featuring Barbadian recording artist Rihanna.
I'm sure that you know them, but in spite of everything I will give you the most relevant information. As you maybe know, Shakira was born on February 2, 1977 in Barranquilla, Colombia. She began writing her own song when she was merely 8 years old, and then at age 10 went to compete in either local or national talent contests in which she always won.  Shakira's music has a personal stamp that doesn't look like anyone else's and no one can sing or dance like her, at whatever age, with such an innocent sensuality, one that seems to be of her own invention. However, Rihanna was born on February 20th, 1988, in Saint Michael, Barbados, but now she lives in USA. Her music styles are pop, dance, dubstep, dancehall, reggae, rhythm and blues & soul and she has collaborated with many other famous singers such as  Katy Perry, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Shakira, Eminem, etc.

Definitely, I liked a lot this project, because we have worked with music, with the song that we liked, so it has been different from the other works and very entertaining. Besides, it is also enriching to study how to use this page, if some day  you want to work in one video music.

Here you have a result of our work. Enjoy it!

ANIMALS QUIZ

Hello everyone! Once again, you can see the last work that I have done in class, and as I always do, I'm going to explain you how I did it.

The work consisted on making a quiz about a topic that we wanted. We have done in pairs and we decided to do about the curiosities of strange animals, because we thought that would be interesting to know a bit more about it. We did 21 different questions and later we copied them in the Hot Potatoes program. Each question has four possible answers,  one of which only is correct.

If you want to see how much you know about this topic, encourage to do these exercises!  Click here.

Good luck!!!

CHILDREN'S RIGHTS!

Hi readers!
I want to show you the last work I have done in class. For this, we have used the program called Glogster, which is a very useful page to do posters. Our teacher gave us three different topics; human rights, children's rights, and women's rights. I decided to do about children's rights and here you have the final result of my work.
I want you to take account in every moment and to think about these sentence: We worry about what a child will become tomorrow, yet we forget that he is someone today!

ROBERT G. EDWARDS

Hi everybody!
This time, our teacher has given us the work to write an article. First, we collected the information in groups about the Nobel prizes given in the last 16 years. Each person had to focus on one year and we wrote about different themes such as; physics, chemistry, literature, peace, economics and physiology and medicine. After that, we had to choose one of all of them, one that interested us the most.
In my case,  the topic I have chosen is physiology and medicine and the person who  I'm going to speak about, is Robert G. Edwards. But do you know why he is so famous? The answer is quite simple; this man is important because he pioneered in vitro fertilization. If you are interested and if you want to know more about him, read this writing!

Robert Geoffrey Edwards, was an English physiologist
and pioneer in reproductive medicine and in-vitro fertilisation
in particular. The term in vitro is Latin, and means "outside the body". He developed a technique to remove eggs from human ovaries, fertilize those eggs outside the human body, and then implant these fertilized eggs into a woman's womb for development into a human baby.

Robert G. Edwards, who opened a new era in medicine when he joined a colleague in developing in vitro fertilization, enabling millions of infertile couples to bring children into the world and women to have babies even in menopause,  he was awarded The Nobel prize in 2010. He essentially changed the rules for how people can come into the world.

Since child he liked a lot to experiment and really liked science. When he was young, very early, he started with his first significant experiments and he achieved many prizes. In addition, it's important to know that he studied in various places.

This huge invention, meant a new way to help infertile couples who formerly had no possibility of having a baby. In 2010 about 4 million children have been born by IVF, with approximately 170,000 coming from donated  oocyte and embryos.
Saying in other words, the success of this research has touched the lives of millions of people worldwide, and his dedication and single-minded determination despite opposition from many quarters has led to successful application of his pioneering research.

From my point of view, I think that he had been a great man. At least until nowadays, it has resolved many problems of fertilisation. For multitude of women this person is the dreamt man that had appeared in their life just in the necessary time.

Say NO to violence against women!

Hi readers!
Today, we have done a QR code using Vocaroo, which is a voice recording tool. Doing this, our intention was to make a campaign to say NO to the violence against women. I don't know if you know it, but this monday,
the 25th of november is a international day against women's violence.  So, we have to say NO! All together we are going to get it!
